What is CBD?

CBD is one of many compounds, known as cannabinoids, that are found in the cannabis plant.

Is CBD legal?

CBD is 100% legal and has shown to be effective for all sorts of conditions.

Will CBD make me high?

Taking CBD will not make you high as it has only trace amounts of THC (the ingredient in regular marijuana that makes you high).

What's the difference between CBD oil and hemp oil?

Although CBD oil and hemp oil are low in THC, the difference in the amount of CBD in these products is huge. Hemp oil only has small traces of CBD compared with the high concentration in CBD oil. It's the higher concentration that makes CBD beneficial in the treatment of various health disorders.

How does CBD work?

All cannabinoids, including CBD, attach themselves to certain receptors in the body to produce their effects. The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own. It has two receptors for cannabinoids, called CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors.

CB1 receptors are found all around the body, but many of them are in the brain.

The CB1 receptors in the brain deal with coordination and movement, pain, emotions and mood, thinking, appetite, and memories, among others. THC attaches to these receptors.

CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. They affect inflammation and pain.

It used to be thought that CBD acts on these CB2 receptors, but it appears now that CBD does not act on either receptor directly. Instead, it seems to influence the body to use more of its own cannabinoids.

Do i need full spectrum or isolate CBD?

The two most popular types of CBD oil used today are Full Spectrum and Isolate. You may also come across products labeled as “Whole Plant” or “Pure CBD.”

A CBD isolate is exactly what it sounds like; pure, isolated CBD compound, all by itself. It exists as a off-white powder, and contains no other active compounds – nothing.

Full-spectrum oil, on the other hand, contains other active plant compounds in addition to the CBD. This includes other cannabinoids such as CBN, CBL, and CBCVA, as well as aromatic (nice smelling) cannabis terpenes like pinene and limonene.

What can CBD be used for?

While medical trials are underway on these products we would not be comfortable making any claims towards the benefits or uses of CBD.

Are there any side effects?

Many small-scale studies have looked into the safety of CBD in adults and found that it is well tolerated across a wide range of doses. There have been no significant side effects in the central nervous system or effects on vital signs and mood among people who use it either slightly or heavily.

The most common side effect noted is tiredness. Some people have noticed diarrhea and changes in appetite or weight.

What are the risks of taking CBD?

There are still very little long-term safety data available, and, to date, tests have not been carried out on children.

 How do i take CBD?

CBD can be taken orally as an oil, a tablet or in a sweet, CBD can be used in a cream or lotion or you can inhale CBD by using a vapourizer. It can be also ingested/inhaled through a CBD flower.
